Collage Works

Colorful patterns in stone, aged patinas on walls, luminous color and texture that invites our senses into a world of memory and time.  As I begin my paintings, I start by building up the surface through the use of cloth, organic papers and non traditional materials; many which are marked or silkscreened directly onto the surface. I work patiently to create a history on the surface. My focus is to create an imperfect-yet balanced view through the integration of broken patterns, colors and visual textures.
